What is Panangarkandu?
Panangarkandu is palm candy — the crystallised sweetness of palmyra palm sap. In Tamil homes it has always been the sweetness kept in the kitchen jar: dropped into filter coffee, stirred into warm milk, added to kashayam, or simply given to children as a treat.
